    3.1 equivalent to 2.6 Organization
    Hello

I m looking to use hr-xml for Human resource and for customers.

In 2.6 there is Organization type with all needed information, but in can’t find anything like that in 3.1
    What could i use?

    Thank you

    • Hi G. Mellare,

You might want to try PositionOrganization. It’s located in Common/Components.

      Thanks!

      Kim Bartkus

    • Do you have an example of en full defined organization ?
      Thank you

    • In can’t find in 3.1 something like this in 2.6

    • Unfortunately, we don’t have a complete organization sample in 3.X. Most of our examples in 3.X are specific use cases that didn’t use the full organization – just a few data fields were needed.

You should be able to identify the use of each field from the definitions or comparing to the example above.

Looking for Elements / Attributes in Provisioning
    Hi,

I am looking for attributes which reference the following areas within an HR solution

Employee Actions: such as movement, maternity leave, sickness, disciplinary
Employee pay:Pay Change Reason,Pay Multipliers, Overtime Hours
    Contract Info: Notice Period,
    Many Thanks

    Benjamin Janes

    • Hi B. Janes,

You may want to look in the Recruiting specification. The Candidate/Profile structure contains information on the job including pay information.

Provisioning/Indicative Data may also include info you need.

      I hope that helps!

    Multiple Position Openings
I would like to create an xml file of multiple job postings. Is there an xsd that I could use for this? I see the PositionOpening.xsd, but this is specific to one posting.

    Thanks,

    Nicole

    • Hi Nicole,

PositionOpening is the correct schema. You can have multiple Position Profiles to specify multiple job postings. You could also use the BOD ProcessPositionOpening to allow multiple Position Openings.

    Missing Schema
I’m missing the ‘OAGi’ schemas specified at this location: schemaLocation=”../../../../org_openapplications_platform/1_2/Common/OAGi/Components/Meta.xsd”.

Where can I get hold of these?

Where is the schema for BackgroundCheck
Where can I find the schema related to the BackgroundCheck? I am reviewing an XML and observed hr-xml as part of its namespace so that gave me a hint where to look. Timecard/ReportedTime/AdditionalData question
I am trying to serialize TimeCardType class. I fill the class and succesfully serialize it to Xml.

Problem appears in xml beacause there is one missing intermediate tag, that I inserted with red color in my example. Everything else is in right place.

    Employee Benefits – Transaction specification
    Hi,

Is there a specification document available for Employee Benefits (US Enrollment)? This is mainly to know what an element is used for (description of the element) and usage (required/optional), if an element can be repeated etc. Thank you.

    Swarna

    • Hi Swarna,

Yes there is documentation for the US Enrollment specification. You should find it in the documentation folder within the download.

      Thanks!

      Kim

    • Hi Kim,
Yes I did refer that. However it does not contain the element level detail. I also referred to http://neptune.pilotfish-net.com/HRXML/, however here also the description/usage is not provided for all fields (for some it is available). I want to know the structure i.e. what is parent group, child elements, can the group be repeated,…[Read more]

    • Hi Swarna,

If you didn’t find the details you needed in the documentation, the schema contains some of the element descriptions. Between the documentation, schema and examples, you should be able to identify the most of the elements.

      Best regards,

      Kim

    PTO plan info
    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for an area to send PTO/Vacation/Sick-like plan information. I need to send information such as plan name, plan year, available hours, used hours, hours remaining, etc.. Thanks in advance for the help.

    • Hi S. Peter,

This information is currently not part of the Timecard specification. However, the Timecard workgroup is considering it for the next Timecard release.

    ISCED 2011
    Hello,

We would like to use the ISCED 2011 instead of ISCED 1997. Is it possible in HR-XML? We only find the values for ISCED 1997 in the enumeration.

    • Hi Marien,

Unfortunately, that is currently a closed list so you can’t extend it to handle the most recent ISCED list. We are considering changes to the recruiting specification in the next release and will look into the ISCED usage. In the meantime, you would need to use the UserArea to handle the updated ISCED codes.

Specifying the required diplomas and subjects in a PositionOpening

    • Hi Jan,

You are correct. There isn’t a place to include the subject id or grade in the education requirements. You can specify the level within EducationLevelCode. We are considering a project to upgrade the Recruiting specifications and can discuss this issue.

    Driver and car infro
    Hi, there!

We need to send driver and car info to outside organization, then they shoud validate this info and send us a request. So, do you have any schemas that we can use for our needs (driver license, car documents and etc.)?

    Thanks,

    Sergey

    • As I understand I have to create Noun for example Driver.xsd. What shoud I do that another organization will see this Noun as a part of this standard?
      Thanks,
      Sergey

    • Hi Sergey,

We don’t have any driver/car specifications. The closest thing we have would be to use one of the Person structures in the Common Components file. If you decide to create your own Driver.xsd, it wouldn’t be considered part of our standards.

      Best regards,

      Kim

Older version of the HR XML schema
    Greetings all

I am looking for older version of the HR XML schema to download (2+, 2.3, 2.4 ) , but haven’t been able to download from this website.

Could anyone guide me to any link or url where i can access the older version of the HR XML schemas ?

    Thank you !

    • Hi H. Singh,

We no longer support or offer the 2.0 – 2.4 standards as they were deployed in 2001-2006. I would recommend downloading the 2.5 version or more recent 3.X versions since they more accurately reflect current industry requirements. In most cases, the 2.5 version is backwards compatible with the previous releases.

      Best regards,

      Kim Bartkus

    • Good evening Kim

Thank you for the quick response. I am understand and agree with your point. My situation is below

We have an existing application which is using both 2.3 and 2.4 HRXML enrollment and we are in process of migrating that to new technology suite. While we work on the new version, if we can get the older schema enrollment…[Read more]

    • I would recommend downloading the 2.5 version and reading through the Document Version History. The changes between version 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5 are explained in this section. I believe these were all backwards compatible so you should be able to validate against the earlier versions.

    Resume Parsing
    Hello,

I’m looking for Resume Parsing libraries and am not having much luck finding any, so I’m hoping the community here can help. • Hello,
Resume Parsing libraries are not provided by the HR Open Standards Consortium, but they are provided by private companies with their own technology (to support various languages, regions and formats) that must be licensed. I don’t believe that there are many useful or credible free/open source libraries. Many of the providers might export…[Read more]

    • Thanks Andrew. I have been talking to all of those companies, but was hoping to find alternatives to the big companies. Do you know of any companies that are implementing the Candidate 3.x standards? It seems everyone is stuck using the 2.x standards.

      Andrew

    • Hello, Andrew
I am not aware of any specific resume parsing providers who have adopted the Candidate 3.x standards. When the technology was recently adopted most of the vendors and the major ATS agreed upon Resume 2.5 or Candidate 2.5.

      Regards,
      Andrew.

schema location in XSD for staffingAssignment message

    • Hi Swati,

You may need to adjust the path “../../../” based on where you downloaded the schema. If you download everything as it is in the zip file, it should find the OAGI files. If you moved anything, the paths will need to be changed. Just to clarify, each ‘../’ is searching up a level for the file.

      Best,

      Kim Bartkus

    • Hi Kim,

Thanks for the update. I have downloaded the zip flle and extracted it so everything is at same level.I am using PeopleSoft- Peopletools to create XML messages using these schema and its failing.

do you by any chance have the same schemas available over http on a reachable URL?

      Thanks,
      Swati

    • Hi Swati,

You can try the online testing tool: http://www.hropenstandards.org/?page=CertificationTesting. It’s not for production, but you can validate instances against a specific 3.X version.

      I hope that helps!

    PositionOpening – Several doubts
    Hello all,

We are also implementing PositionOpening schema and I have a doubt:

    • Hi M. Font,

We provide this date range for all of our nouns but I don’t believe I’ve seen it used for PositionOpening in a live implementation. When using BODS, the CreationDateTime shows when the document was created. We also have a Position Opening Status that shows the length of time the position posting will be available.

    • Hello Kim,

    • Hello,

We add more questions that we have regarding the PositionOpening schema:

      • How to express the amount of hours per week/month/etc. that are offered by an Employer?
