    Resume Parsing
    Hello,

I’m looking for Resume Parsing libraries and am not having much luck finding any, so I’m hoping the community here can help. I have see the many SaaS resume parsers, however, I would like a self contained parsing library for our low volume application. I’d prefer a Java library and even more prefer an open source…[Read more]

    • Hello,
Resume Parsing libraries are not provided by the HR Open Standards Consortium, but they are provided by private companies with their own technology (to support various languages, regions and formats) that must be licensed. I don’t believe that there are many useful or credible free/open source libraries. Many of the providers might export…[Read more]

    • Thanks Andrew. I have been talking to all of those companies, but was hoping to find alternatives to the big companies. Do you know of any companies that are implementing the Candidate 3.x standards? It seems everyone is stuck using the 2.x standards.

      Andrew

    • Hello, Andrew
I am not aware of any specific resume parsing providers who have adopted the Candidate 3.x standards. When the technology was recently adopted most of the vendors and the major ATS agreed upon Resume 2.5 or Candidate 2.5.

      Regards,
      Andrew.

    • Hi Swati,

You may need to adjust the path “../../../” based on where you downloaded the schema. If you download everything as it is in the zip file, it should find the OAGI files. If you moved anything, the paths will need to be changed. Just to clarify, each ‘../’ is searching up a level for the file.

      Best,

      Kim Bartkus

    • Hi Kim,

Thanks for the update. I have downloaded the zip flle and extracted it so everything is at same level.I am using PeopleSoft- Peopletools to create XML messages using these schema and its failing.

do you by any chance have the same schemas available over http on a reachable URL?

      Thanks,
      Swati

    • Hi Swati,

You can try the online testing tool: http://www.hropenstandards.org/?page=CertificationTesting. It’s not for production, but you can validate instances against a specific 3.X version.

      I hope that helps!

Looking for an attribute in PayrollMasterData
    Hi Team,

What are the mapping fields for Employee Gross Compensation and Eligible Compensation for a pay period in PayrollMasterData?

    Thanks,

    • Hi Sastry,

The payroll compensation information may be found in the component: PayrollDeployment/PayrollRemuneration. You can also look at the instances to see examples of how compensation is used.

    PositionOpening – Several doubts
    Hello all,

We are also implementing PositionOpening schema and I have a doubt:

Which is the purpose of validTo and validFrom attributes in the root element? We do understand that validTo could be the date when the document was created. However, we do not have any business case for the validFrom, do you have any?…[Read more]

    • Hi M. Font,

We provide this date range for all of our nouns but I don’t believe I’ve seen it used for PositionOpening in a live implementation. When using BODS, the CreationDateTime shows when the document was created. We also have a Position Opening Status that shows the length of time the position posting will be available.

      The root dates…[Read more]

    Hi,

I wanted to find out if HR-XML has support for post hire. I looked in the standards and couldn’t find anything relevant

    • Hi Oran,

We do have the WorkerOnboarding specification within the Recruiting download, which should meet your needs. If not, you could try the IndicativeData specification within Provisioning.

    SSNTrace results
Can you please guide which document to look for if we have to store SSNTrace data in HR-XML Format?

    Thanks.

    • Hi K. Chy,

I would suggest you download the Screening Specification and look at the Screening Order and Screening Report. The specification should include the information you are seeking.

    • Hi Maria,

In regards to the sequence of the AlternateDocumentID,

Each AlternateDocumentID should be unique in consideration of 3rd Party’s namespace, indicated by the ID’s schemeID/Name and schemeAgencyID/Name.

Given this, what is the purpose of the sequence?

      Thanks,

      Steffen

    • Hi,

After reading what you wrote, that AlternateDocumentID should be unique, and matching it with our business case; maybe the sequence has no sense. Because an XML can be modified by the same 3rd party multiple times, and it’s not possible to add the same ID at the AlternateDocumentID’s sequence.

But, how do you know which version of the XML…[Read more]

    EthnicityCode in Indicative data?
    Hello,

Has it ever been considered to put EthnicityCode in Indicative data? If not, should it be considered?

    Thanks,

    Wood

    • HI Wood,

Indicative Data schema includes a User Area option, under Indicative Person (where I’m guessing you’d like to use Ethnicity Code). If your particular implementation of Indicative Data requires the use of Ethnicity Code, putting it in the User Area would be a good solution.

      Alex

    • Hi Wood,

In answer to the second part of your question: we did consider which information to include in IndicativeData vs. HRMasterData. IndicativeData is a subset of the HRMasterData, which does include ethnicity as well as many other elements not found in IndicativeData. If UserArea isn’t feasible, I would suggest using HRMasterData.…[Read more]
