Jim Jensen, SVP | Ceridian

Jim Jensen is Senior Vice President of Global Partners & Alliances at Ceridian, responsible for leading the company’s global partnership network and supports its expansion into new markets. He joined Ceridian in June 2016, and currently manages: advisory relations, software alliances, broker relations, master business agreements, private equity and channel partners.
Prior to Ceridian, Jim held senior technology alliance, CIO and software development positions at Ultimate Software. A seasoned executive with a strong background in financial management as well as business and software development and strategic planning, Jim has presented nationally at IHRM, APA, SHRM. He’s also presented at Microsoft’s Developer Conference and other technology conferences on topics such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Technology Trends, HR Technology and Corporate Branding, Company Culture and the Changing Workforce.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University and a B.A. from Clemson University.

The Job Data Exchange (JDX) will help employers and their HR technology partners send better, faster, clearer signals on in-demand jobs and skills. It will support more accurate, comparable, and machine-readable data on jobs through improved data. Built with HR Open Standards as the backend and as the presentation standard, many leading minds in the HR industry are contributing to this project. Join the discussion as the panel presents the details of the JDX and answers your questions on the project.

From Trough to Plateau: How Blockchain Will Disappoint Before it Massively Disrupts HR

Now that we have passed “peak hype” for blockchain, there is an opportunity to take a closer look and separate realistic expectations from the inflated. As blockchain is nothing more than a reconstitution of tried and true technologies, there is a solid technical foundation upon which can be built new and innovative solutions for HR. This session will provide a summary of the state of blockchain as it may be applied to the HR tech industry, the headwinds it will face over the coming years, and the role standards can play in facilitating wide-spread industry adoption. A simple implementation of a blockchain will be explained and demonstrated.

Integrating Data Registeries in a Connected HR Marketplace

HR applications increasingly compete on the data insights they deliver to clients. Interoperability standards, such as HR Open, enable applications to deliver important foundational insights including recruitment metrics and people analytics. We believe the next level of value will come from integrating mature linked data registries into these products. This session provides an update on Credential Engine’s progress to populate the registry and highlights recent developments concerning competencies, verification of quality claims, and career pathways.
