VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION

A special thanks to the following volunteers who have been key contributors to the workgroups and success of the HR Open Standards Consortium.

USHA VEDULA

Usha Vedula is a Principal Application Developer at ADP with over 13 years of experience designing and developing software systems for Human Capital Management. Usha is currently working on integrating external benefit carriers with the Work Force Now platform. As a member of the Benefits workgroup, she contributed to the 4.1 standard release and focuses on adding support for plan setup and spending account enrollments.

Usha holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Southern Polytechnic State University.


DAVE BRUNSVOLD

Dave Brunsvold is the Manager of Professional Services at Discovery Benefits LLC with 12 years of experience in the pre-tax spending account and COBRA industries.

Dave contributed to HR Open as a member of the Benefits workgroup for the 4.1 release, enhancing the ability for HR Open to support spending account integrations.


THOMAS ADAMS

Thomas Adams is a Senior Software Engineer with Applicant Insight. He has been in the HR field for over 2 years and professional software development across a broad range of industries for 14 years. Thomas has been a contributor to the Screening workgroup for over 2 years. He has volunteered to document numerous use cases.

Thomas has a B.S. Double Major in Computer Science and Mathematics from Franciscan University of Steubenville and holds a GIAC Secure Software Programmer- .NET (GSSP-.NET) certification.


LESLIE ERWIN

Leslie Erwin is Director of Application Development at ADP with a focus on Benefits Integrations for the WorkForce Now platform. Leslie is currently leading the Major Accounts effort to adopt HR Open for real-time API integrations with benefit providers. She contributed to HR Open as a member of the Benefits workgroup for the 4.1 release and is currently leading the workgroup as they focus on the next release which includes support for plan setup and spending account enrollments.

Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.


CHRIS PAULEY

Chris, an Independent Consultant, has developed web sites, integrated e-commerce solutions, and participated in startups. He has extensive experience as an application developer in the pharmaceutical research and defense industries.

Chris is involved in the HR Open Standards Assessments workgroup as their schema editor. He is also a member of the Recruiting Workgroup and the Technical Steering Committee. Chris also represents the HROS in the Connecting Credentials Align Supply and Demand Workgroup and the Credential Ecosystem Mapping Team.

Chris holds a B.S degree in Business Administration from Susquehanna University.


SCOTT PETER

Scott Peter has been a Software Developer at Insperity for 5 years and has been working in the technology industry for 12 years. He is an active member of the HR Open Standards Timecard Workgroup and Technical Steering Committee.

Scott graduated from the University of Central Florida with B.S. in Information Technology.


DAVID STECKBECK

David Steckbeck is the Systems Architect at Birkman International, where his role is to design and maintain the IT structure of the organization and serve as the scrum master.

He has served in the IT field for 20 years across a broad range of industries in a broad range of roles. His most recent 14 year tenure at Birkman has allowed him to build many of the core systems the organization relies upon for their primary product, The Birkman Method. David enjoys the efficiencies IT technologies bring to business as well as keeping up with the evolutionary change that continuously occurs. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology.


JAN-WILLEM VAN DER BOOM

Jan-Willem Van der Boom is the Director of Strategy for Manus Global Support BV, where he is responsible for creativity, innovation and development concerning Manus’ global localized workforce management, and their premier time and attendance product, ManusPlus.

Jan-Willem has been an active member of the HR Open Standards Business Steering Committee for 2 years, and has hosted and spoken for the consortium at international events.


DIMITAR DRAGANOV

Dimitar is CTO of ConsultCommerce Ltd and Technical Development Director of Manus Global Support.

He has been an outstanding contributor to the Timecard JSON project as well as helping develop a collaborative environment for workgroups and developing common JSON components for the TSC. Dimitar has also presented at the HR Open Standards Annual meeting.

Dimitar has been actively programming since he was 11 years old. He graduated from specialized Math High School in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and holds Masters degree in Mathematics and Informatics from Plovdiv University. Dimitar has successfully competed and won numerous programming contests. His most notable projects include: Generational garbage collector for Java Virtual Machine MANUS+: time and attendance, planning, employee management software DragonJS: javascript components and modules library.


STEFFEN FOHN

Steffen M. Fohn is a Chief Data Architect in the Enterprise Architecture group at ADP.

Over the last 10 years, Steffen has focused on establishing data-related standards and their practice in support of B2B and A2A business process integration. He contributes to HR-Open as a member of its Technical Steering Committee and has presented at numerous HR Open conferences. He has over 20 years of experience with development methods including Rational’s Unified Process, ICAM’s IDEF, and Systems Engineering with a particular emphasis on data modeling and schema development using Object-Oriented and Entity-Relationship techniques and patterns. He holds several patents and has published his work in both technical journals and conference proceedings. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNC Charlotte in 1988 and his M.E. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering degrees from NC State University in 1990 and 1994, respectively.


JASON SOLE

Jason Sole is Director of Production for the Direct Employers Association.

He received the ‘Jack of All Trades’ award at the 2015 Annual meeting for taking on the role of technical steering committee (TSC) lead, helping develop a collaborative workgroup environment and holding a seat on the HR Open Board of Directors.

Jason serves as UXlead and scrum master. He has been in the HR field for 6 years, and web development for 15 years. He has a Master of Science Degree in Cross CulturalUser Interface Design from Purdue University.


TONY RAY

Tony Ray is the Integration Product Manager at IQNavigator.

He has been a strong advocate of the HR Open standards, promoting implementations with numerous business partners and completing HR-XML product certifications against 5 separate specifications. Tony recently won the Bronze International and Silver American Stevie awards for building a developer tool utilizing the HR-XML specifications. Tony serves on the technical steering committee, presented at the past two annual meetings, and was elected to the Board of Directors in January 2014.

Tony has an accounting and finance degree from West Valley College and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


MARY PASCOE

Mary Pascoe is a Senior Software Engineer with Applicant Insight.

She has been an invaluable contributor to the Screening workgroup for over 6 years. Mary has offered her expertise and volunteered to record the minutes through three screening projects including the most recent drug testing standards development.

Mary holds a B.A degree in Biology from Thomas Edison State College.


ANDREW CUNSOLO

Andrew Cunsolo is Director of Product Management, Talent Technology Corporation, responsible for the Talemetry Talent Generation products.

Andrew was recently honored with the ‘Many Hats’ award for his 11 years of HR Open Standards volunteer service. Since 2002, Andrew has helped develop the Recruiting standards, acting as lead and recording secretary. In 2009, he joined the Board of Directors and is currently the Secretary. Andrew actively participates on the Technical Steering Committee and delivers training and educational presentations at our face-to-face meetings.


SASCHA JUCHEM

Sascha Juchem has experience of nearly a decade in designing and implementing e-recruitment solutions. During those years he has been with milch&zucker, a Germany based provider of e-recruitment and recruitment marketing solutions. Sascha has been involved in the development of the applicant tracking system “BeeSite” since its inception. Currently, he is the responsible technical product manager.

Sascha is involved in the HR Open Standards Recruiting work group and has been instrumental in developing the standards for lightweight recruiting.

Sascha holds a Ph.D. in physics from University of Giessen, Germany.
